Preview your profile and edit to display what you want to.
Meet your first match. You’ll be sent up to one match a day. Check out their profile, you might have more in common than you think!
Wednesday is the day for dating. Chat to your matches and organise a date. No time for time wasters here 🙅♀️
Explore dates and events. Too busy to plan a date? We got you - send a date or event to a match. None of your matches down to hang? Head to a Humpday event for some IRL swiping.
Select your Missed Connection 🔒 Didn’t get the chance to take someone out last night? Every Thursday you can select a match to keep chatting to until next Humpday.
Get out there and have fun. You look cuter IRL.
Why can I only chat on Wednesdays?
Dating apps can suck so much of your time that could be better spent catching up on Netflix, learning to cartwheel, starting a side hustle, hanging out with your mates or literally anything else.
We value your time and know that you don’t want to be pen pals with someone you don’t know! On Humpday, chat is only open on Wednesdays. So go and live your best life the other six days of the week.
By limiting chat to 24 hours, we are changing the online dating game. Expect quicker responses and matches that actually want to meet IRL. Wednesday’s your day to invite a match on a date or to a Humpday event…before someone else does!
Wait, so I can really only chat for 24 hours a week? What if I’m too busy on a Wednesday?
You’re busy, we know. If you miss your shot to chat on Humpday - we got you. Each Thursday you can select a Missed Connection 🔒 - one match to keep chatting to for the next week.
So how does a Missed Connection 🔒 work?
Every Thursday, you can select one match from the last week to keep open till the next week - i.e. to chat on days other than Wednesday. This person is your Missed Connection 🔒 and will appear shaded orange in your Last week chat screen.
You may also notice incoming messages from other users on days other than Wednesday. This means you have been chosen as someone else’s Missed Connection 🔒 (yeah you’re cute).
How can I select my matches? Why is there no swiping?
The more you swipe, the higher your chance of finding a match right? Wrong.
Research shows that swiping actually leaves you overwhelmed, and in turn, more likely to reject someone. We hate how endless swiping leaves us feeling pessimistic, reduces our self esteem and impacts our mood. So we’ve said goodbye to swiping to save you time, emotional energy and (hopefully) improve your dating outlook and outcomes.
Ok so how do you choose my matches?
The secret sauce? We’ve worked really hard with psychologists, researchers and our community to build a matching algorithm based on key compatibility factors for a successful relationship.
We go deeper than other apps to learn about your attachment styles, love languages, financial attitudes and values to really understand you and what you’re looking for.
Not happy with your matches? Our algorithm will only get smarter! Based on how you interact with your matches, the algorithm will continue to be refined so that we can deliver you even more compatible matches.
What’s the deal with the “thumbs up” function?
We are serious about serving you your most compatible matches. By clicking thumbs up on a profile that’s a real zinger, Humpday’s matching algorithm will learn to keep sending you matches like that.
..don’t worry your match won’t know.
How many matches will I receive each week?
You’ll receive up to one match daily, or up to seven over the week.
How did we land on seven? Endless matches are linked to a fear of being single, upward social comparison, and partner choice overload - not fun. Smarter people than us have crunched the numbers, and the ideal number of profiles one person can realistically manage at one time is between six and nine.

Why didn’t I receive a match?
We have high standards (and believe you should too!)
That means we’re prepared to not send you a match if no one meets your compatibility criteria for that day.

How do I delete a chat?
It’s as easy as swiping left on the chat you want to delete.
By deleting a chat, know that you are effectively “unmatching” with that user and you will no longer be able to see their profile.
In an effort to always improve our matching capabilities and only serve you your most compatible matches, we appreciate you letting us know why that particular match just wasn’t your type.
Can I change my matching preferences?
You sure can! We are constantly evolving in who we are, and what we’re looking for. Follow the steps in “Dating Preferences” to update who you’re looking for.
Can I change my profile?
Absolutely, variety is the spice of life! Pop over to “View and Edit Profile” to update your pics and to “Dating Preferences” to modify what attributes you want to showcase on your profile.
How come I can’t see the dates I’ve booked in “Your bookings”?
“Your bookings” is designed to hold any tickets you have purchased in the app. At present, event tickets are purchased via Humanitix and dates are booked through our good friends at Urban Swan. So, booking confirmations will be sent through to you instead via email.
What happens when I report or block someone?
As a female founded dating platform, we are serious about creating a safe and inclusive community, and treat all user reports with care. We have a zero tolerance policy for bad actors, online or offline.
The Humpday team is alerted immediately to investigate all reports. The reported user will have their account paused while an investigation is underway, so they will no longer be able to communicate with others on the platform. The reporter’s identity will not be shared with the reported user.
Why can’t I see a particular chat anymore?
Humpday is not for pen pals. If there has been two weeks of no activity between matches, the chat will be removed so your inbox stays clear.
Alternatively, the other user may have deleted the chat.
